Stephanie Fovenyessy graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and geography and a minor in Geographic Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She traveled to Texas to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey while working at USGS as a physical science technician.
